Cabin Parking Facility
The
Gondola Cabin Parking Facility at Keystone
When
the Outpost gondola was built in 1991, Keystone decided to also
build an underground cabin parking facility where the gondola cabins
from both the Outpost and River Run gondolas could be parked and
worked on in the same facility. Here is a tour of the underground
cabin parking facility at Keystone Resort, Colorado. However, because
both gondolas were built by different lift manufacturers, there
had to be two seperate chair rails because both gondolas had different
principle roller designs.

Since
the River Run gondola has its own chair rail to the cabin bays,
so does the Outpost gondola. However, the Outpost gondola cabins
come into the cabin bays from the other side and that's where
the chair rail in this picture takes you. |

in the picture above with the cabin bays on the left. |

Here
is a picture of two gondola cabins that have recently been washed
and cleaned out. (Noticed the two different gondola interiors.
That's because more gondolas were added the River Run gondola
at a later date.) |

cabins travel into the cabin parking facility. |
