History
Borvig
Borvig was founded by the engineer Boris Vilhar in 1962. Their first lift was a surface lift at "Big Vanilla at Davos". In 1970, Gary Schulz joined the company. It went bankrupt in the early 1990s.
International Aerial Tramway Corp.
Likely just a sales rep or distributor for Doppelmayr with Charles Van Evera as president. It is currently unknown if any lifts were installed.
Partek Ski Lifts
Partek Ski Lifts was founded by Hagen Schulz in 1991. They made their first two lifts in 1996 for Jiminy Peak, MA and Shawnee, PA. Partek is still in business as of today.
Stearns Roger
Stearns Roger held an exclusive contract with Roebling to manufacture and install their lifts in the area of Treasure Mountain/Park City. In 1962, Stearns Roger offered Treasure Mountain two hydraulic Roebling chairlifts (C-1 and C-2) and a Gebrueder Girak (Austria) gondola G-1. They later offered at least two J-Bar (J-1 and J-2), a T-Bar (T-1) was also mentioned in a letter. The gondola was eventually erected by PHB, but Stearns Roger was successful in selling two chairlifts and two J-Bars. Treasure Mountain wasn't very happy about the chairlifts reliability and asked Hall to step in. It is currently unknown if Stearns Roger sold any other lifts.
Skyrides of America
Out of Memphis, Tennessee. Likely the U.S. distributor or general contractor (or maybe even just an operator) for Von Roll in the early 1960s. A few VR101 were built by that brand, e.g. at Magic World, Florida or Legend City, Arizona. They also installed the Mt. Aetna aerial tramway at Raccoon Mountain, TN, but it is unknown which manufacturer made it.
TAC-Ways
TAC stands for Tram-Aerial-Cableways. Founded in Encino, California in 1961 by "foremost European engineers and technicians" to "engage in designing and construction of chair-lifts, T-bars and aerial cableways". Joseph Deutsch was named as General Manager. It is currently unknown if any lifts were installed.
Timberland Ellicott Ltd. / Skyway T-Bar Lift
Skyway was the brand name for TE's T-Bars. The company is still in business and some documents might be in their archives, but they are currently not able to get them.
