-3 Favorite Places to Ski
-2 Most favorite lifts
and your favorite manufacturer?
For me:
-Waterville Valley, NH
- Sunday River, ME
-Saddleback, ME
-Chondola (Sunday River)
-Aerial Tram (Cannon Mountain)
And my fave manufacturer is Poma. They seem faster, and much more comfortable than dopp's

Snowmass, Silver creek, Big Sky...
Village Express (she was my baby for 2 winters)... Looking Glass @ Winter Park
Leitner-Poma / Doppelmayr lifts can run the same speeds. What you may find is ski areas slow lifts down cuz that is how they do it...
As for my Favorite Manf. It's not fair to say As I have not been exposed to the Doppelmayrs that much in my ski history. But that is changing...
So I will leave that un answered for the time being.

Yeah, I actually learned that resorts DO slow their lifts down, for various reasons.

Two favorite lifts - East Basin @ Loon and Whiffletree SuperQuad @ The 'Loaf
I love Hall. Classic, rugged, durable. I like Doppy and Poma equally in their own ways, and I waffle daily on who I prefer...depends on which lift I swear at less per day

Gondola One at Vail and Orange Bubble Express at Canyons (but there are many more)
Favorite manufacturer is LP, for their Colorado background and sleek new LPA terminals.

Slide Brook Express, Sheer Bliss
Fixed Grip : Riblet
Detach : L-P
Why do you like Sheer Bliss so much? (And are you talking about the old or new Sheer Bliss...)

The old riblet double, I actually haven't been to Snowmass since the HSQ was installed. But mostly for nostalgic reasons, I learned to ski at snowmass in the 80s and I remember making laps on Sheer Bliss as a kid once I was good enough to get off of Fanny Hill. On the flip side of things, that originally Fanny Hill double is my most hated lift of all time...

Does the Collins Express have no safety bars? I've seen a couple images and it doesn't seem like they have any.
They do now. Alta didn't used to have them on any lifts but a kid fell off Sunnyside I want to say 3 years ago and they added them to the CTECs. They have "teeth" which are the most uncomfortable things in the world if someone doesn't yell bar down. If I can remember I'l grab you a picture tomorrow.
BTW, it is just Collins, not Collins X.
