Indy is lift 8 already, so says the manual cover. That would make Imperial chair 9, and the new ones 10 and 11, not that it's a huge deal.

Well they're gonna have names sometime. I guess that might wait until August to know the official Peak 6 lift names.

Also it look like Doppelmayr's tri-leg drive/tension terminal with the Uni-G enclosure has a name that we hadn't heard before: "Tristar"

Does L-P have something similar to the Dopp World Book to list more information about the installs each year? I'm looking specifically for the vert of the new Caribou Express at Lutsen.

In a word, No. Leitner Technologies, the parent company, publishes an Annual Report that is hard covered. It only lists projects by Leitner Ropeways, not POMA or LPOA and is not available to the general public.
As for Caribou Express: Slope Length 3592' and Vertical Rise 768'.

Not this season, it sounds like one way or another we'll be able to get people there the season after. It's actually quite uphill - the map doesn't do it justice!

Sugar Bowl has officially announced the new Crow's Peak Chair. Though it pretty much official when they were touting it for season pass sales.

Vail's Mid-Vail HD camera is back up. It looks like the terminals are gone on the old Mountaintop Express and just the towers remain to be taken down, before they can start building the new lift.

New lift at Hermitage (aka Haystack). Might not be done for 13/14, but I wouldn't be suprised if they had it done before the end of the season. They got last years lift opened mid-season.

http://www.dvalnews....=home_news_left

"A 3,000-foot transfer lift is included in the Hermitage application as well. The lift will begin at the base of the lower mountain and include a midstation for skiers to exit the lift and use the lower trails, or proceed to the top."

Vail update: on the Mid-Vail camera as of today, there are piles of dirt that indicate that they are laying down the lift tower bases.

Vail construction update for 7/16: the old lift's towers are down, so the line is cleared.

The towers are all vertical the way CTEC used to build lifts.

Looking like nice progress on the new Teasure HSQ at Wolf Creek, CO. Web cam shows bottom terminal.

Vail construction update: as of today, it looks like they are doing the foundation digging for the bottom terminal on the Mid-Vail cam.
